ByteDance's Seed team has unveiled Seed Diffusion Preview, an experimental open-source diffusion language model that significantly accelerates code generation. This model processes code at an impressive speed of 2,146 tokens per second, achieving a 5.4-fold increase in inference speed compared to similar autoregressive models. By leveraging innovative techniques such as two-stage diffusion training and constrained sequential learning, Seed Diffusion Preview enhances parallel decoding and code comprehension, setting a new benchmark in the efficiency of language models for structured code tasks.
